Megan S. Martin BCST, RCST®

I bring a rich combination of education, lived experience and ongoing creative exploration in health and nature resourcing to my BCST work; I draw on my own personal journey through trauma and recovery to support my clients of all ages.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy came into my life in 2013 while I explored its benefit for my sons, who live with Sensory Processing Disorder, anxiety and the many intensities of being gifted learners. This Work profoundly changed my sons lives and becoming a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist myself was an organic and fitting progression to my own education, my own healing and the healing and health of my family.

The many and colourful chapters that bring me to this day have gifted me with a fierce passion in helping others navigate towards their greatest health. While I am no stranger to loss, abuse, chronic illness, heartache and crisis, I am also thankfully well aquainted with joyful health and the courageous and abundant opportunities that come with the hard yards of walking the non-linear path towards healing and recovery.

Biodynamica Craniosacral Therapy has been key to my own journey towards my authentic self and assisting and witnessing others in such profound transformation is an absolute honour.

Being that my children led me to BCST and due to my own personal experience of becoming a new mother and navigating my twins difficult birth, the resulting and lingering birth trauma, caring for ultra sensitive newborns and toddlers; I have a resulting passion for working with expecting mothers, newborn/mother/parent units during their birth transition and for faciliating relief from birth trauma. I also feel called to work with young children who navigate this world with neurological differences, as my beautiful boys do.

Why am I called One Feather? My BCST practice is named after the "one feather" that I was gifted with directly from the eagle's wing, as I watched it fly to out sea at Grey Bay in Haida Gwaii (1999). This was the first of the feather medicine that I continue to receive from the winged ones we share this earth with. I am not trained officially in shamanic practices but I feel its essence in my cells, and I walk my own version of it wholeheartedly. A collection of life changing inter-species interactions  with all kinds of winged and non-winged ones, have peppered and powered my healing journey and they certainly empower my BCST practice. Ask me about the humpback whale I have floated with or the bat I shared my room with.
